We are please to present our first ever bike Time Trial.
Convair Drive + Courtneypark Drive East between Renforth and Dixie by Pearson Airport.
Parking details are to be confirmed, but there are two generous lots just east of Renforth Drive and Convair Dr.
Winding its way along the southern and western boundary of Pearson Airport, this 13k out-and-back stretch is interrupted by all of one stop sign. You won’t find a route that allows for this much open, relative traffic-free road in the city outside of a race. There are both hills and exposed – and therefore windy – sections along the course making it both challenging and fun.
We will start at or near the intersection of Convair Dr & Flightline Dr. The Route heads west along Convair, following the southern boundary of Pearson Airport. A sweeping tight turn at about the 2k mark takes us north. Convair turns into Courtneypark and continues north until a stop sign just shy of the 5k mark. This stop sign YOU MUST MAKE A COMPLETE STOP! Turning left at the stop sign and following Courtneypark until the 6.5k mar, we arrive at the marshalled turn-around point. The way back retraces the route exactly and arrives at Flightline after approximately 13k.
