Fall Swim Clinic - Day 3: Learn Extras to Help your Swim Training
Do you want to be able to incorporate flip turns into your swim workout? Do you want to be able to swim non-freestyle strokes? Do you want to learn how to train for swimming on the days/weeks you can’t get to the pool? If so, this clinic is for you. Flip turns can make you a more efficient swimming in the open water, non-freestyle strokes can improve your feel for the water and balance out your front crawl swimming muscles, a dryland routine targeting key muscle groups you use for swimming can mean you can train for the swim even without a pool. Attend this swim clinic to learn how to take your swim training to the next level.
This clinic will begin by going through a dryland routine that swimmers can do on the days they can’t get to the pool. Next, swimmers will learn the basics of backstroke and breast stroke and why they are beneficial for triathletes. Swimmers will be given a series of drills that will progress them through these strokes. Lastly, swimmers will be introduced to the flip turn, why to do them and how to do them.
Time: 6:30 - 7:45am
Ability: Beginner to Advanced (swimmers should be able to swim 100m without stopping)
Refunds will be given if we have to cancel the program due to not meeting minimum numbers. If the city/venue cancel a permit or if cancelled due to weather, we will try to reschedule, but no refunds. We will credit those who can't attend the rescheduled event.
