Are you looking to improve your open water swim skills? Are you a good pool swimmer, but looking for help with starts, sighting, cornering, breathing and swimming in the open water? If so, then this clinic is for you!
Dates: July 3, 2019
Time: 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Location: Cherry Beach
Coach: Kevin McCormick
Description: This clinic will help get you comfortable in the open water. We will go over how a wetsuit should fit, how to get the wetsuit on/off, basic open water skills: entering the water, floating, sighting, starts, turning a buoy, etc.
Why do it?: This clinic is a great opportunity for beginner triathletes or those who have been struggling in the open water. You will feel more comfortable in the open water after this session.
Details: A minimum of 4 participants are needed in order for this program to run. Spots are limited to 12.
Requirements: Wetsuit, goggles, swim cap, ability to complete 100m of swimming in the pool.
Note: The water is colder than normal. All the flooding and cooler temperatures have made the water a degree or two cooler than normal. Wetsuits are highly recommended.
Non-Members: Please download the TTC/TO Activity Waivers, sign and email to info@torontotriathlonclub.org prior to July 3rd.
Refunds will be given if we have to cancel the program due to not meeting minimum numbers. If cancelled due to weather, we will try to reschedule, but no refunds. We will credit those who can't attend the rescheduled event.
