Base Phase Indoor Cycling Classes
8 instructor led classes with an emphasis on the development of fundamental bike strength.
Base fitness is the foundation of every sport, comprised of solid technique, aerobic efficiency and strength. Just as the foundation is paramount to the stability of a building, without a solid fitness base, one cannot hope to continue to develop speed and endurance in sport - the premise of triathlon’s swim/bike/run.
Off-season is the best time to assess and improve upon your base strength and aerobic conditioning.
Time: Friday: 6am-7:30am-Jan 9 to Feb 27th.

Cost : $200. 8 instructor lead classes each approximately 1:20 in length.
$210 for non-members ($10 Triathlon Ontario Fee)

Jacqueline O’Connor, Elite triathlete and NCCP Trained Competitive Cycling Coach.
Jacqueline is an elite triathlete and cyclist who has trained and raced around the world at the Olympic and 70.3 distances. Amongst her many accomplishments is an 8th place finish at the Ironman World Championships, 2012, Las Vegas where she was second off the bike in her age group with the 26th fastest overall women’s age group bike split, ranking her finish 3rd overall Canadian age group female. Jacqueline has conquered numerous epic Tour de France cols, trained on the renowned Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway, NC, and logged numerous miles on Maui’s windswept roads and epic climbs to push her riding to the limit. Jacqueline places an emphasis on the quality of her cycling base, paying significant attention to detail and developing all aspects of aerobic efficiency and strength. When she is not training, she is often seen being walked by her two golden retrievers, or more likely chauffeuring her two daughters to one of their many training sessions.
