Session 1: Run Efficiently
Is heel striking bad? Is there a proper running form? What should my ideal running cadence be? A lot of it comes down to the same thing: running efficiency. Learn the basics of what makes a person run more efficiently, which is turn makes them a better runner. Answers to such questions, and more, will be discussed, followed by a review of common running drills and workout.
Session 2: Run Smart
Not all running is created equal. Learn how to build your run program wisely by learning about the different types of runs and how to incorporate them into your plan. Building on session 1, additional drills will also be reviewed to help you to run more efficiently. Session will end with a workout geared towards showing participants the different types of workouts while also highlighting what happens to one’s form when fatigue starts to set in.
Format: each session is 90-120 minutes in duration.
About Jennifer:Jennifer Faraone is a competitive runner and duathlete. She has numerous wins under her belt including world champion for her age category at the Worlds’ Duathlon Championship 2013 (9th female overall), Toronto Half Marathon, Ottawa Marathon, Houston 5k, and 5 Peaks Trail Running Championships.
Jennifer has been coaching for many years with Marathon Dynamics, has her NCCP level 1, and has been offering trail running clinics in the GTA.
She is also co-written a book titled The Pregnant Athlete Within which is targeted to hit bookstores in early 2014.
