Run Ready? Movement Checklist and Core Training
Often Runner's are sidelined by an injury/issue that seemingly appears out of nowhere. 100% of the time there is a functional weakness or imbalance that drives the injury. Ultimately, the injury presents when the runner is no longer able to adapt or compensate. Not surprising this usually occurs around peak mileage or training intensity.
At The Runner's Academy we strive to educate Runners on how to become aware of these imbalances and how to stay in tune with whether your body is adapting to the demands of training or not.
This is done by having a movement checklist! In this workshop we will be taking you through this movement checklist, so you know if you are ready to run or not! We will also be discussing Core Training and help guide you through some tried and tested exercises to increase core strength and strategies.
