Free Open-water Clinic!

Update: Postponed until July 21st because of poor water conditions E. Coli counts which are generally very low at Cherry Beach, have been elevated over the last few days. Sorry everyone!

Our Wednesday evening open-water training swims at Cherry Beach have got off to a great start this year. We regularly get a dozen or more Members out and we're getting good workouts in. We do a loosely structured workout with our own dedicated lifeguard on duty. The water is good quality and has warmed up nicely.

Because we have a lot of new Members who are a bit hesitant about swimming in open water, we've talked to our swimming coach Ayesha Rollinson and arranged for a free Members Open Water Swimming Clinic. Both novice and expert open-water swimmers will get something out of this Clinic, so come join us on Wednesday July 14th down at Cherry Beach!

This will be the second year we've offered this opportunity to our Members. Ayesha is an experienced ITU pro who has given us tonnes of great swim coaching and last year's Clinic was very highly rated.

Be ready to swim at 6:30 PM. There's a changing facility and washroom at the beach and free parking. Bring your wetsuit, water bottle and gels (and BodyGlide...). We meet to the West of the lifeguard station.
