Saturday Group Ride
Sep 04 9:00 am
Join us on Saturday mornings for group training rides. Be sure to visit our
training forum
and let us know you're coming (create your free account there in order to post messages or reply to them).
Beginning in May and running through September, we meet every Saturday morning (9:00 am in the spring and September, 8:00 am in the summer) at the parking lot at Lake Wilcox in Richmond Hill (Bayview Ave. and Bethesda Side Road).
Routes vary from 40 km to 120 km. The first 10K are always an easy "social" start. Maps are provided on our website in our
Member's Only area
.
Weather permitting we may begin with a short open water swim and depending on training schedules end with a "brick" training run.
There are port-a-potties on location. We meet in the parking lot on the North side of Bethesda Rd. immediately west of Bayview Ave.

Project Freeride Training Ride
Sep 07 6:30 pm
Join us on Tuesday evenings from May 4th through September, 2010 for an in-town bike ride with our friends from local competitive Master's cycling team
Project Freeride
!
These sessions will provide riders with tips and opportunities to develop many specific bike skills, from Hill Climbing and Descending to Group Riding and Cornering. The general format will be a very quick talk followed by a specific workout targeting improvements in various elements of bike fitness. Sessions will also include some regular ‘testing’ weeks to help riders track their fitness improvements throughout the season.
The ride will leave from Enduro Sport's
Leaside location
at 6:30 PM
sharp
. The format of the workouts allows us to accommodate riders of almost every level of experience (no-one gets “dropped”). But the ride should be viewed as an opportunity to improve bike skills and fitness rather than an opportunity to “learn to ride a bike” so come prepared to sweat!
For specific weekly details please see the
training page
on Project Freeride's website.
